GKASTER DEMOREEL AVRIL2010 from gkaster on Vimeo.

My favorite Motion Designer right now. His work is dreamlike and organic. I can’t help but have my mind drift away into his work. Definitely a great person to look up to in the Motion Industry as well as being a Cinema 4D enthusiast.

I share a little background and history behind my career endeavors and cover what pushes me to become the best creative I can be as well as my current goal I set out for myself in becoming a great motion graphics designer. I talk about how Digital Kitchen started me on this journey to become a motion graphics designer through an article about them I came across in 2004. From that article I became inspired to research and learn about the art of motion graphics. A creative individual is who I am and grew up to be and shaping and morphing myself in the direction I want to go creatively is completely in my hands. This love and passion for creativity is what drives me in my career and since that article I’ve decided to move that creative path towards Motion Graphics. What Inspires you? What are your passions? Own those passions and make them a part of your life. Life’s to short not to wake up every day and do what you love. Share your passions and what your doing to make those passions a part of your every day life in the comments section below so that we all can learn and grow from them.

Elegant, cinematic and a well pieced together showreel from Jordi Vadrí of SINESTHESICS. His 3D and camera work is breathtaking. The motion is smooth and dreamlike in some respects as well as coreographed right on with the soundtrack. What I like most about the reel as a whole is that he holds long enough on each composition so that you can fully take in the details of each piece. Some reels are high impact, high intensity and are meant to be that way. Unfortunately that doesn’t allow for the viewer to really take in the aesthetics of each piece. Not Jordi Vadrí. He allows you to absorb the fine details and the essence of each of his pieces within the showreel as a whole. Some may say his reel is to long. It holds my attention quite well throughout the 2 minute span! I wonder what the gorilla would say about a showreel this long? Over at GREYSCALEGORILLA he recommends a reel be around :45 to a 1min. If it’s my reel, I think your definitely right gorilla. For Jordi Vadrí, I’m gonna guess you might want to shorten it a little but not as much as others.

Wow! Organic, some chaotic camera jitters and jumps, full of depth and space, and very cinematic looking work. Visuals organically with fluid like motion speed up and slow down rhythmically in harmony with each other and then suddenly become chaotic, shattered and worn. You would think something like that would feel unbalanced but my opinion is that is where the beauty lies. He stimulates your senses by giving them a nice jerk, twist and smack in the face. ReNascent has a fantastic cinematic eye and his use of 3D, the amount of care he puts into his 3D, to bring more depth into his visual elements allows for more realism, for example, to obviously fluid flowing metal that could never be, but it is wonderful and stimulating to the eye.
